About Free Trade Zone Office
Free Trade Zone Office
- A free trade zone office is a designated zone where free manufacturing,
logistics, distribution, and trade activities are guaranteed, and which, by
attracting foreign investments, aims to bolster trade, employment, and technologies,
so as to contribute to the development of national and regional economies.
- Since its designation as a free trade zone office in November 2002,
pursuant to the Act on the Designation and Operation of Free Trade Zone office,
the Daebul Free Trade Zone Office (DFTZ) has been aiming to become the logistics
hub of Northeast Asia. It is an optimum corporate investment site that offers the best business environment.
- The Administration Agency of the Daebul Free Trade Zone Office(AADFTZ)
of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIE) performs all administrative
services for the tenants of DFTZ, such as reporting foreign investment,
seeking approval for the construction of factories, and seeking approval
for exports and imports, under a one-stop service system. As such, DFTZ is striving
to attract foreign investments and promote exports.
- With regard to foreign investments, pursuant to the relevant laws,
we offer various incentives, such as tax breaks, low rental fees, and support facilities.
In particular, DFTZ is a duty-free zone, thus boosting the convenience of export and import activities
