Message from the AADFTZ Administrator

  • I would like to invite you to an industrial city in Northeast Asia. I offer my hearty welcome to the AADFTZ homepage. I am glad to meet you. My name is Kim Hyoung-woo. I am the AADFTZ Administrator under the control of MKE.
  • The Donghae FTZ, designated by the South Korean government in 2005, became operational in April 2010. It aims to attract foreign investment, promote trade, revitalize international logistics, and facilitate regional development.

    The Donghae FTZ is the hub of Northeast Asia's East Sea Rim region that connects China, Russia and Japan. It is adjacent to the international Donghae Port, which handles 30 million tons of cargoes annually. FTZ is three hours away from the Greater Seoul Area, providing convenient transportation and a stable supply of skilled personnel.

    The neighboring Bukpyeong National Industrial Park fully synergizes the development of FTZ tenants. Investors in the FTZ can avail of various incentives such as zero tariffs, low rent, tax breaks, and provision of logistical costs. FTZ provides one-stop customized services for its tenants.
